Regulated Variable 0-300VAC Power SupplyPN# 300VAC
The most important features of the power supply is its ability to hold a constant voltage as the power lines fluxuate and the load fluctuates. Used for testing testing high and low line conditions for any AC powered device.
Regulated AC Power Supply Schematic Diagram
Easily Upgraded for Various Applications
The Tester's internal circuitry consists of a motorized variac followed by a step up transformer. The default
internal power supply voltage may be changed simply by swapping the step up transformer and changing the
resistors in the feedback control loop.
Top Polycarbonate Shielded Test Surface
The top of the power supply doubles as a safe insulated testing area. This innovative design saves bench space,
costly safety equipment, and eliminates those dangerous high voltage test leads. Above all, the short lead
lengths eliminate test lead ringing, which minimizing RF noise emission, and false scope triggering. This
results in extremely accurate tests.
Safety features protect the eyes and hands making it nearly impossible to touch the High Voltage parts
unintentionally.
- Top of the unit doubles as a safe insulated testing area, saving bench space.
- Polycarbonate cover protects the operator from flying debris.
- Tinted cover prevents blinding flashes.
- Magnetic reed switch safety interlock blocks the surge pulse when the cover is lifted.

HVST- High Voltage Surge TesterFor surge testing transformers and inductors. Feedback regulated high frequency switching power supply
The most important features of the surge tester are its ability to test the entire winding insulation system. A high voltage surge generates turn to turn, coil to coil, and phase to phase voltage stress, as well as ground insulation stress. When used as a dielectric test, accurate voltage readings are essential. The HV Surge Tester monitors the voltage directly across the winding under test. This voltage is displayed on an oscilloscope and recorded on the Pass/ Fail LED latch monitor. This voltage will be accurate despite the impedance of the winding being tested. The insulation system can be tested way above the operating voltage because of the brief duration of the applied voltage test pulse. This allows faults to be detected long before they become apparent at operating conditions. HVSCM- High Voltage Surge Current MonitorFor simultaneous surge testing magnetics Also available in rack mount
Designed to be used with the Model HVST High Voltage Surge tester. The Surge Current Monitor allows simultaneously surge testing 20 units. The Surge Current Monitor monitors the current going through each unit under test at the time of the surge. If a unit under test breaks down or leaks, the Surge Current Monitor will identify the bad unit by lighting the corresponding LED. In production testing we expect that most of the time the devices will pass. In the event that one should fail, the failed device would be removed and then all the parts would have ot undergo another surge test. Since most devices pass most of the time, simultaneous surge testing can be a real time saver..
